About us

Last updated: 6 November 2026

PauseandPonderTV is an independent online news platform focused on Nigeria, with coverage of the biggest stories from Africa and the rest of the world. Our aim is simple: to give readers the day's most important news in clear, short, easy-to-read stories they can trust, with a moment to pause and think about what it means.

What we cover

• Politics: elections, government, courts and public policy.
• Economy: prices, jobs, business, oil and the naira.
• Nigeria: security, education, health and community news from across the 36 states and the FCT.
• Entertainment: Nollywood, music and celebrity news.
• Sports: the Super Eagles, Super Falcons, Flamingos and Nigerian athletes.
• World: major international stories, with the Nigerian angle where there is one.

Our editorial standards

• We check before we publish. Every story is verified against credible, published sources, official statements or documents shared with us.
• We write in our own words. Our stories are original. We do not copy other outlets' articles.
• We credit our sources. Each story ends with a source line linking to the reports or statements it is based on.
• We separate claims from facts. Allegations are clearly attributed and described as unproven until confirmed by the courts or evidence.
• We are fair. Where someone is criticised, we report their response when it is available.
• We are careful with sensitive stories. We protect the identity of children and victims, and follow responsible guidelines when reporting suicide.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. To report an error, email advert@pauseandpondernews.com with the story link and the correction. We aim to review every request within 48 hours.
