Italian club Como made Champions League history this week with a stunning 9-1 win away at Lens, matching the competition's biggest ever winning margin.

Anastasios Douvikas scored a hat-trick in France, and Nico Paz, Lucas Da Cunha, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Mattia Liberali, Martin Baturina and Matteo Papaccioli also found the net. Ruben Aguilar scored a consolation goal for Lens. Only Liverpool and Real Madrid had won Champions League games by eight goals before, and Como are the first team since 1971 to score nine away from home in Europe's top club competition.

Liverpool lost their unbeaten record in Istanbul, where Fenerbahce came from behind twice to win 3-2. Trey Nyoni and Alexander Isak scored for the English side, but Mason Greenwood, Archie Brown and Vedat Muriqi, with the winner 11 minutes from time, earned the Turkish club the points.

Paris Saint-Germain scored four goals in the first 17 minutes on their way to a 6-0 thrashing of Villarreal. Real Madrid kept their perfect record with a 3-2 win at AEK Athens, Federico Valverde scoring the winner in stoppage time after goals from Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé.

Erling Haaland struck the winner as Manchester City beat RB Leipzig 3-2 in Germany, and Arsenal won 2-1 at Slavia Prague with Noni Madueke among the scorers. Bayern Munich won 2-0 at Atlético Madrid through goals from 18-year-old Lennart Karl and Konrad Laimer, while Manchester United beat Roma 3-2 at Old Trafford.

Other results: Galatasaray 2-0 Stuttgart, Barcelona 3-0 Aston Villa, Feyenoord 0-3 Inter, Porto 4-1 Napoli, Borussia Dortmund 2-1 Real Betis, PSV 1-2 Club Brugge, Shakhtar 0-1 Sporting, Bodø/Glimt 0-0 Lille, LASK 4-0 Slovan Bratislava and Viking 4-1 Sabah.

The competition returns on 24 and 25 November, when Arsenal host Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City welcome Napoli.
