Kate Henshaw slams Power Minister Tegbe over blackouts: 'Why is this still happening in 2026?'

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has publicly criticised the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, over the poor electricity supply in the country.
In a post on Instagram, Henshaw complained that power returns for only a few minutes before it is cut off again, and asked why Nigerians are still facing the same problem in 2026.
Henshaw, known for speaking out on national issues, joins many Nigerians who have taken to social media to vent about longer blackouts in recent days.
As PauseandPonderTV reported on Friday, figures from the national grid operator show that electricity distribution companies were allocated less than 3,000 megawatts to share across the country, after gas shortages and low water levels at hydro dams cut generation. The Ministry of Power has said it is working to fix the problems.
Tegbe, who was appointed Minister of Power earlier this year, had told Nigerians to hold him responsible if the grid failed again. He had not responded to Henshaw's post at the time of publishing.
