More than two weeks after his death, gospel minister Toluwanisings has still not been laid to rest, as his father's family and his widow remain divided over where and when he should be buried.

The singer, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, collapsed and died on 14 October. A tribute night and service of songs was held for him in Ibadan on 27 October, but no burial date has been announced.

His father and paternal grandmother want him laid to rest in his own Ibadan home, or next to his late mother in Ikirun, Osun State. An uncle, Lawal Ademola Rauf, has asked the authorities to look into how the singer died before any burial takes place, and says the family will keep paying the mortuary fees in the meantime.

His widow, Elizabeth, reportedly prefers a cemetery or a church burial ground, as she does not want a grave inside the home she shares with their children. The uncle has warned that the family would dig up the body if he is buried in a cemetery, and denies that anyone is interested in the singer's property.

The row has drawn in public figures. Nollywood actress Kudirat Ogunro said on Instagram that home burials can cause problems if the house is ever sold. On Saturday, one of the singer's younger brothers said in a voice note that the widow was being unfairly blamed for a rift that started long before the marriage.
